Day 10. Mixed Coloring, Hop & Giveaway

Hello Friends, How are you this Friday? Today is Day 10. of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge and a Simon Says Stamp blog hop. If you are new to my blog and wondering what is the 30 day coloring challenge … here is more info.

Welcome to Simon Says Stamp “New Beginnings” Blog Hop. It’s always a thrill to be included with Simons talented line ups & to work with another awesome release. I love the variety in this release … there is a wide range of products such as stamps, dies, sequins, and even ink!! To start at the beginning of the hop go to the Simon Says Stamp blog here.

Watch the video here and a thumbs up is always so encouraging.

I created two cards and a video for the hop and with a little bit of Copic marker coloring, colored pencil details and coloring with distress ink.

Creating a bouquet with the beautiful stamp set called, ” More Spring Flowers” is aways something I enjoy.  The sentiment I stamped the “Handlettered Encouragement” stamp with some versamark ink and used white embossing powder. A banner was cut and tucked behind the stems.

For the background I used some painters tape with distress ink to make some quick and easy stripes. I must add that using the new inks in this release would work beautifully for the stripes. A fine tip sharpie marker is permanent and works beautifully with Copics… that’s what I used to draw the stems even tho the stamp set has a stem… I thought it would be fasters to scribble stems rather thank stamp several.

Another card with the “” More Spring Flowers” stamp set. I highly recommend the matching die cut because it gives you more versatility to create a bouquet or giving a single stem importance. For this card I went for simple and in the video I show you how I “colored” these blossoms with distress ink.

The background was inked up the same way and the twine was custom colored with a marker.

GIVEAWAY: Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from your blog comment section.  Yes you are right that’s 15 chances to win!! Wow!! Winners will be posted on the Simon blog Tuesday March 14th. (winners must email SSS to claim your prize) Good Luck 🙂

I was sad about that, but I feel so much better about it now, doing the masking and then cutting out the bouquet will work wonderfully! Thanks for always providing such wonderful inspiration!
