Hello Friends! I’m back today with a project created using a few stamp sets included in the new Masterpiece Box from Simon Says Stamp so welcome to the Masterpiece Box blog hop! It’s certainly something to be excited about and I feel blessed to be able to share with you today. (If you are new to The 30 Day Coloring Challenge or want to know more about it click here…you can join at any time)
This box … The Materpieces Box … is full of amazing new product from many different companies. You can receive these products before the brand’s release!! Woo Hoo!! You will find lots of more info on the Simon Blog. I love how so many different companies came together with Simon to curate this box of beautiful goodies but, a little more on that below in my post.
I used a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp (see it in the photo next to the yellow ink) and Tim Holtz/Stamper’s Anonymous to create two of my cards. For day’s when I was laying in bed my last thoughts were the dang Crazy Dog stamps! LOVE them!
Distress inks were to used to watercolor all my cards today. I also did a lot of masking but, I love to see the masking images transform into a little scene ! 🙂
Today’s video is alittle long but, I didn’t want to cut anything out during my watercoloring.(Usually mine are a lot shorter) If you want to subscribe to my channel that would be so lovely.
I cut the middle out of the sentiment except for the word “OH” and masked the rest off. Two of the flowers were painted and popped on my card for added dimension.
Love combining stamp companies. This is with the Tim Holtz crazy dogs again and Altenew’s flower stamp set.
Here is another card I painted on the fly and finished adding some details at the airport and the rest early this am…like paper and sequins. These flowers are from the Altenew stamp set in the box plus I added one flower from Simon’s stamp set.
I think it’s so fun to receive so many wonderful stamp sets from different companies in one box! This box is a limited time offer…once it’s gone, it’s gone. It’s a pretty cool idea getting all of these awesome stamps in one bundle before they are released. In the box as you can see is a wide variety of stamps and some dies. What a great reminder to look at my image stamps in different sets from a mash-up perspective! I so often combine sentiments from one w/ another’s images, but not as often the images themselves. GENIUS! Thanks for the inspiration and starting my morning off with such lovely cards!

Your watercolour is so pretty, Kathy! I’ve got distress inks but I haven’t tried watercolouring with them. Something else for me to try! I’m getting lots of ideas! The Simon box collection looks fabulous! Lots of variety and options! I’m still going strong with my colouring: 12/12! Yay! Thanks for the daily inspiration – it helps keep me going! Incredible coloring. Thank you for the video. Watching you work your way through that one piece was an eye-opener. I don’t begin to spend that much time on my watercolors, and I’m a bit intimidated by color. However, I am blown away by the depth of color and the wonderful shading that you do layer by layer.

Love these Crazy Dogs and this particular one has such a good expression on his face and adorable. I believe the Oh came from the Simon Says Stamps called, “Oh Happy Day!” set. Loved it!
WOW, wow, wee, that would be great for me. OK for real, favorite is the W Plus 9 Whimsy Alpha (letters and then outside stamping of letters) is so cool but also love the Simon Says Oh Happy Day stamp set, I absolutely have to have these two items.
