Hello Friends, How have you been? Sorry it’s been awhile … crazy how time flies. Can you believe that I still have some emails to catch up on šŸ™

With that said … I am back to share two cards that are featured onĀ WPlus9’s blog today and I hope you like them.

image2

My goal was to created a pretty background with ease. I love this bouquet and wanted to use it again. (If you want to spend more time coloring the bouquet I haveĀ a video in case missedĀ here.)Ā The “Happy Birds” are so adorable and I love the sentiments in the stamp set.

The birds were perched on a banner from Lawn Fawn and I used my white gel pen to add some dots. I stamped the images on watercolor paper and used the Spectrum markers to color everything including the banner.

You can see a close up of the other card, a few tips on the WPlus9 blog here. A big thanks to WPlus9 for the feature…it’s always an honor.

Thanks for your visit today I am always grateful and thanks for your patience. Great to see you! Hugs, Kathy

That darkened background behind the flowers really gave them so much depth behind the velum. I wouldn’t have thought that would work at all but you really succeeded! Such a pretty card, but cute, also.

What an adorable card! I love birds and I love how these don’t look like real birds but they don’t look to cartoony either. The background is so pretty!
I have to thank you so much for the sprinkles and the really fun pencil case with the fun eyes. I showed it to my nephew and he loved it! Now my cookies and pretzels will look so much prettier! I have to send you a Thank You card. You are the best!
I’m doing a lot of coloring and if you check your e-mail’s you will see that I sent you an amazing thing you can do with colored pencils to make them really fancy and then enclose a coloring book. I want to do it for my dad & find some coloring pages he can color. He’s 92 and his hands don’t work as well as they used to. Most of the time all he does is watch TV. He used to make leather things like wallets, hair clips, bracelets, belts, etc. and he used to paint and color them too. He can’t do his leather anymore but maybe with some fancy pencils he will color. If he’s like me, he will have fun doing it. I have a clipboard he can use so he can color when he sits in his chair. You have totally inspired me!
