Hop-Giveaway-Video

plushhop

Hello Friends, How are you? I am missing “seeing” you all everyday 🙁  that’s the part I miss most when the 30 day coloring challenge is over.

I am back today to celebrate Simon Says Stamp with their new and exciting “Spring Plush” release blog hop!   This release also has a stamp set that was a collaboration with Neat & Tangled PLUS lots of Plush dies, beautiful felt and everything to make your own plush delights like thread, needles and felt glue!

IMG_1693

I have a video today to show you how I created these vellum carrots stuffed with jelly beans. They will be a sweet treat to rip open and for the candies to spill out for someone special. A mini piñata perhaps.

To watch the video in HD click here.

IMG_1695

Sewing is something I have always really enjoyed doing so I was super excited for Simon Says Stamp’s new collection.  Creating the carrots I used this heavy weight vellum. Fun foam was used on the tops of the carrots with vellum on top of the fun foam to give it more structure.

IMG_1694

You can sew on paper, vellum, fabric and or felt. Adding color with floss gives my carrots a nice variety of color.

 IMG_0524

Honestly I had so much fun I wanted to make some sugar rush flowers. Break open if you are need of a sweet treat. These flowers would be great on a pillow, baby shirt, guest towel, tote bag or to make a sachet. I can go on and on lol. I was lucky to pick up this pastel vellum at Simon a while ago.

IMG_0525

Fill a glass jar with some jelly beans and you have a fun centerpiece for Easter or a special occasion.

IMG_0526

I promise once you start you can’t stop. A pocket was made on the large egg to hold the sweet lil bunny. I used the Easter basket strap on the egg to hold the carrot. I stuffed the bunny with batting, the carrot with bubble wrap and the large egg with cotton. When my dog rips apart his stuffed toys I will be saving the stuffing next time!

GIVEAWAY:  A Simon Goody bag on every stop of the hop. The more you comment on each blog the more chances you have of winning.  There will be a winner on each stop of the hop for a prize package.  The winners will announced on the Simon blog onMonday, March 7.

You should be arriving here from the talented Amy Rysavy . The next stop on the hop is the super sweet & talented Taheerah Atchia . Click HERE if you want to stop at the beginning of the hop.

Thank You for your visit and wishing you a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Kathy
