Hello friends. Welcome to Day 26 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. We are getting close to the finish line of this challenge and my hope is that you’ve enjoyed taking some time out to color. I know I sure have! Today’s card uses an ADORABLE & magical new stamp set from Lawn Fawn called, “Fairy Friends” . Have you seen the new Lawn Fawn release? It’s pretty crazy amazing and you can see the full release here or here.
Aren’t the images just precious!? I used Copics to color in the images and my favorite Glitter Marker (It’s not the Wink of Stella….Gasp! I have to add that the sheen on the Spectrum Sparkle is more transparent which I love). I also did a bit of masking to create the scene but, you can check that out in the video. Click here to see the video larger or in HD.
Here’s the video to see the whole process… To extend the flower a misti really came in handy and some masking paper or tape.
I used another flower image from the stamp set to create a hat for the fairy to use on a future card.
I mentioned in the video that the only way to add these tiny details like eyelashes, veins on the wings etc. is with this super fine tip marker. I also said if you don’t have the right marker for tiny details don’t try it lol cause the wrong marker can ruin your coloring.

How generous of Lawn Fawn! They have such adorable stamps. My .03 marker died recently and I’ve been searching for one to replace it! My hubby says there’s no way a marker is that fine it has to be 0.3. Love your gorgeous fine lines Kathy!

Gorgeous card – love the sparkle on the pretty purple flowers. And those flowers are so cute as are the fairies. Can’t wait to see the card with the fairy in the hat – adorable! Kathy…I have to admit that I got a spectrum noir glitter pen recently too, and haven’t touched my wink of stella!
I think the flowers are snowbells (at least they look like the snowbells in my yard), which are…white. But where’s the fun in white flowers on a white background even with a little sparkle? I like your version better. Adorable fairies. Thumbelina was one of my favorite Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales, too. Talk about flights of fancy!! Although I haven’t gotten to do much coloring during the challenge, I so look forward to your posts and will hate to see the series end. I suspect you’ll have a BIG finish.

I love how you did this and how cute this stamp set is. Reminds me of Tinkerbell from Disney. She’s also a fairy. I love the glitter markers and the added lines and dots. I can’t believe the Coloring Challenge is almost over, heck, I can’t believe Feb. is almost over! Wasn’t it just Christmas? Where does the time go is what I want to know? The days seem to go by faster now that I am an adult. When I was a kid in school they seemed to drag by.

Definitely agree with the Thumbelina reference. The delicate detail with the 0.003 fine marker is a great idea. So is the alternate glitter marker. Wink of Stella oftens “poops” out glitter, so I’ll have to see the difference with the one you suggest. Thank you for the detailed video of your coloring process. I realize it takes a substantial amount of time to video, comment and post. It is appreciated.

I do seem to be using the words cute and adorable an awful lot this month when referring to your work, Kathy, but I cannot help it, You have a knack for finding the most adorable stamps and combining them into super sweet scenes.
