Day 17. New Release & Giveway

IMG_0795

Hello friends. Welcome to Day 17 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Today I’m taking part in Winnie & Walter’s 2nd Birthday Bash! I hope you will help me wish Winnie & Walter a very happy Birthday!

IMG_1281 (1)

I was inspired by Gayatri’s challenge at Winne & Walter HERE since I love making backgrounds. I’m using the adorable new bird stamps from Winnie & Walter that will be released on February 26th. How cute is this little bird! Oh my LOVE!

IMG_1287

You really don’t need a lot of markers to have an impact on a card. You could also color these cuties with “regular” markers and put a layer of vellum on top.

IMG_1283

I couldn’t get enough of the birds so I created a bonus set of cards with the perfect white ink and some kraft cardstock.

IMG_1286

Using a dauber to add the ink with the stencil was quick and easy. The bird and hat were popped for added dimension with some foam tape. Don’t you love how a few white dots can add that little something extra? I colored the inside of the “love” sentiment with a white gel pen.

IMG_1288

I used a little Various Ink with a rag for some added texture on the birds.

Now how about a giveaway! Wahoo!

    February 17, 2016 at 9:50 pm

I am loving all the new stamps I am seeing on all the sites but my problem is I’m not a Kardashian and I haven’t won lotto yet! I need to be able to afford all the stamps I want to buy. Why do they all have to look like they will all be so much fun to use and have? LOL
That being said, and I am glad I got that off of my chest, is how much I love the card you made. I love how one looks exactly like the other. That bird is so adorable! I don’t have those color copics because I don’t use them very often so I can’t practice doing that but I like how you did that. However, I do have markers in those colors so maybe I could practice with them? You did a great job as usual!
I posted another card. This was a Valentine’s Day card for my parents from Dover Publications. I downloaded it and used markers, glitter markers which I totally love by the way, colored pencils and chalk pencils. I used a Copic in one place and it bled. The white paper isn’t card stock. I didn’t use any more of them. You’ll also I didn’t color all of it. I was debating if I should color what I didn’t and I decided it didn’t need to be colored. The more I look at it, the more I see I was right. I love how it came out and my parents loved it too.

  97. Gail Plaskiewicz says

    February 17, 2016 at 9:51 pm

I meant to say however, I do have colored pencils in those colors, not markers.

Oh my goodness are these birds cute or what. The bird you used on the front of the card looks like a cute version of our cockatoos, native to Australia. They are no way as cute as these. Love how you have done this card front.
