Day 12. MFT Inspiration Friday GIVEAWAY

IMG_0795

Hello friends. Welcome to Day 12 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  New to my blog? Go HERE to read more about the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. If you want to share what your creating go to DAY 1 and scroll to the bottom of the post. You will find a blue Inlinkz tab to link up your coloring.

Today I’m honored to be teaming up with the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog for their Inspiration Friday Series…

Print

Check it out HERE. They offer lots of inspiration each week with their  Color Challenges, Sketch Challenges, Tips, Tutorials, and Techniques. So fun!

I created a card for today using the Out of this World Stamp Set…

IMG_1183

…and this sketch…

267

To create the tag, I covered it with several shades of Copic Markers…. Literally just scribble on some color.

IMG_1177

…and applied some Colorless Blender with a cloth to add texture and give it an “outer space” look…

IMG_1178

This stamp set is great for creating masculine cards!

IMG_1179

The moon was super easy to color I swear. The background was a quick color with the chisel end of the marker. It’s nice when you don’t have to worry about lines showing or “good coverage”.

IMG_1188

Before we get to the giveaway I wanted to share some coloring with you. While I was coloring one of these chefs I decided to turn on my video for an unedited video of some shading.

The sentiments in this stamp set are awesome. It’s called , “Recipe For Happiness” how perfect right. Love these little chubby chefs.

GIVEAWAY: Check this one out!!

How about a $50 Gift Card to the My Favorite Thing’s Online Store? Leave a comment for a chance to win. Best of Luck 🙂 See you all tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy

I loved the chefs BEFORE I saw you color them! Such a unique set. Got a good chuckle when you decided to go camo for his pants and neckerchief! (I’m not sure if that’s the right term either, but that’s the way it goes.) I agree about periscope. The videos I have seen later are extremely frustrating for me to watch, when the narrator/teacher/demonstrator keeps stopping to count “hearts” or respond to a comment. It’s distracting to watch and I’m not even trying to watch and scan the computer input! I jumped out of some on-line classes I tried because it was just too frustrating to try to track so many things at once. No way I can listen and type at the same time! PLEASE don’t go there: I might miss something!!! Thanks for all you do and thank the people who make it possible to win a prize and try something new, too! (As if a crafter needs an excuse to try a new product!) You’re one of the best. Coloring in my coloring book today with some alcohol markers. It’s a doodly sketch, so I’m not even trying for shading!!

Fab card you always make it look so easy and love the moon too. I only have promarkers and don’t think they do a similar solution to the copic one you used, but then again not sure they sell the solution over here either but just wondered if you thought it would work with promarkers please.
Love the little chefs too and the vjdeo thanks for sharing.

Sorry Julye I don’t have any promarkers. If the promarkers are alchohol markers it’s a good chance the various solution might work for you. Thank you for all your kind words. 🙂

What a fantastic card. I love the denim look you got on the tag! I’ve been so busy lately that I’ve barely gotten in my 5 minutes of color a day, but I got really sick this week and had to cancel my vacation. That means yesterday I did nothing but color. Figuring it’s the 12th, at 5 min per day, I way more than made up my time! LOL It felt so good to color! Got to use a really old stamp set too (it was the closest set I had so went with it). Ended up with 3 cards and enough images for 5 more.

Thanks to MFT for their generosity — I know just how I’d spend that gift! 🙂

LOL He likes to cook and takes classes in school. It’s not called Home Ec anymore! Those chefs would be really great for him. When he was little he got a blue ribbon at a fair for some cookies he baked. I helped him but he did a lot of it himself.
