Owl be there for you

IMG_0448

Hello Friends, How are you doing? I hope your New Year is off to a good start. Today I have two cards to share from the new release from Clearly Besotted. Their stamps are always easy to color and so delightful!!

IMG_0445

It’s such a luxury just to sit and color these days. Feb. 1st is the start of the next 30 day and I am looking forward to coloring daily.

“Some Birdie Loves You” is a stamp set that is great for all year or for a Valentines Days card. Loovvveee this set! When you take the time to mask off an image I think the extra time is always worth it in the end.

IMG_0422

Before I mask of the large leaf I colored it a green so that it would be easy to differentiate once I remove the mask. (the bird and birdcage are masked off in this photo too.) After the fact I realized it would have look cool to NOT mask off the cage and have the leaves show through. Oh well next time.

IMG_0423

Repeating the masking leaves and coloring them. Also used a post it to mark off the background using a ruler to draw the line later. Every day my misti pays for itself.

IMG_0430

I thought I would share the bird colors. Don’t forget to add a little glossy accents to a few accents.

IMG_0446

Most of you know I love owls and these are no exception. They have so much personality! LOVE them 🙂 They are called, “Still a Hoot” and a sweet variety of cuteness!

I had to draw some eye lids on her, color on some eyeshadow and add shimmer with wink of stella.

A big thanks to Joy for sharing her Copic storage tip. She purchased these at the Container store for her Ikea rolling cart. This solution solved  my Copic storage problem and I can’t wait to share photos. The quality is amazing and so worth the price tag on the cuffed canvas bags that I wanted to share right way. (I ordered 12 for my cart)

Have a great week and thanks for your visit!! Hugs, Kathy

Happy New Year Kathy. Your cards are super adorable as are these new stamps. Our year did not get off to a great start, since DH has been in bed since Sunday afternoon. A blood test has indicated he’s fighting an infection, so he’s on antibiotics now and fortunately his temperature is back to normal as of this morning. The oncologist expects he will be fit enough by Tuesday to start his last round of chemo.
i’m looking forward to the next colouring challenge. I seem to finally be getting over my fear of colouring and have lots of new image to play with since my Black Friday sale goodies have started to arrive, the first batch just before Christmas and my SSS parcel arrived last week…

These are SO cute Kathy! I am looking forward to the colour challenge. Although I am still slowing building my Copic collection I did purchase the 48 pk. of Zigs Color Brush Pens. I have 2 new colouring books and a LOT of pre-stamped images ready to go on Feb.1 st. Can hardly wait!

Love your cute cards and as always, your coloring is awesome! I can’t wait to see your copic marker storage–I’m trying to figure out a solution for mine, currently have them in 4 different wallets–but lots of searching back and forth for colors, which are arranged in groups. I like them to be portable and don’t have room in my office for another cart. I’d considered the canvas larger one–and also the plastic bin with holder inside. Can’t wait to see your system.

CUTENESS GALORE!!! … isn’t it funny how this predator always looks so adorable?!?! They sure make me feel happy 🙂
LOVE your colouring and LOVE the fancy shape of your sweet birdcage card!!!
I confess that I’m not very experienced with masking, so I look forward to learning more about your next version, when you have the leaves showing through the cage.

Oh my gosh, I love your coloring! What am I saying, I always love you’re coloring! The owls are so cute and so is the birdcage and the leaves. I just love the way you do your cards and I hope I get lots of inspiration from you.
Your package that I am mailing to you is finally ready, now I just have to get to the post office. I did one dumb thing though with your package. I wanted to show everyone the cards I made for you & I should have scanned them before I put them in the envelope. Is there a chance you could scan them for me & send them to me? I am so proud of what I did and I want my friends to see it. If you could post them on here, I would also appreciate it. I’m proud of what I did and I hope you are too.
Happy 2016 if I haven’t said that already. I hope we all have a really great year!
