Spotlighting for #STAMPtember

IMG_8344

Hello Friends, How are you this weekend? Temps are cooling in our part of the country and I am starting to think fall is a possibility. Today I am sharing three cards with a fun image from Art Impressions. Today’s stamp called, “Dance It Out” is part of Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember feature. The Art Impression stamps are always so whimsical and always make you smile.

IMG_8345

Sometimes Art Impressions stamps can be a bit more involved when it comes to coloring so I have a remedy for that. “Spotlighting” Maybe most of you have heard of spotlight coloring. Spotlight coloring is when you just highlight a certain spot of your image with the coloring as you can see in my card below. For the card above I chose to spotlight ONLY a cut out portion of the stamp. Super fun and easy. A few die cuts made this quick card stand out. I used this “Thanks” die cut and this beautiful friend die cut.

Honestly I had so much fun coloring this stamp and I didn’t have time to color 3 entire images so the spotlighting worked great for me. This way I had time to add patterns to the clothes, add necklaces and some eyelash lines to the clothes. Lots of glossy accents on the shoes, jewelry and eyeglasses. A super big shout out to Art Impressions for sending me this stamp. I love it! Happy STAMPtember everyone and thank you for your visit. Hugs, Kathy

Such cute cards and the spotlighting is wonderful. The first stamp is perfect for using wobblers. A few weeks ago, I dug out a package of them that I have had in my stash for a while and made a couple of cards using them…what a hit with the recipients. This ladies stamp would be perfect. I hope to get back into my craft room and do something fun. TFS your ideas.

Spotlighting is such a great idea!I have to admit, I was a little intimidated by this image, because I didn’t want to get overwhelmed by the multiple figures, but I bought it anyway, because I am such a big fan of Barbara and Art Impressions. I’m so glad it’s on the way here… I can’t wait to play with it already!
