Clearly Besotted

IMG_4928

Hello Friends, How are you today? I hope you had a lovely weekend and are off to a good start for a new week. Today I am sharing a quick card with a lovely stamp set from Clearly Besotted called, “Sweet Rose”.

IMG_4935

The colorless blender marker is what I used on the tips of the petals and the leaves to remove some of the color. I just noticed that Simon Says Stamp has their Copics on sale 25% off until May 15th. It’s a great time to stock up on refills and a few extras. (Use the code “COPIC”)

I thought you might want my go to colors below. I also recommend the blending sets if you don’t have many markers. Keep in mind that the Various Ink that you have seen me use many times is on sale too. RV10 is what I use on cheeks always, E50 is my go to skin color and I add some darker highlights with E53. I am always highlighting with one or the other with B0000, B00 and B02. JUNE 1  is fast approaching for my second coloring challenge … I working behind the scenes and am excited to share. Thanks so much for your visit today. Hugs, Kathy

Are you saying that the darkest color used on your project was RV10?

Hi Jan, Sorry for the confusion … I was just sharing my favorite go to colors since the Copics were on sale. I made this card on the go so I didn’t list the exact colors. Thanks for your visit. 🙂

Wow Kathy that’s beautiful! It never ceases to amaze me how that blue ‘halo’ really pops the image off the page! It’s so subtle I have to look at your card for a bit until that even registers with my brain! Such a cool technique. I also love the way the water in the vase turned out – it looks so REAL!
