Dat 11. Feeling dottie?

challenge_graphic-4-650

Hello Friends, How are ya? I love hearing how coloring everyday or almost everyday is such a rewarding experience for you even if it’s for a short time. Seeing some of your children get involved is the icing on the cake.

IMG_3588

Tonight I was in the mood to fussy cut an image and I knew these posies would be simple to color so I reached for them. I call this quick coloring “one layer”….barely any shading. The stitched rectangle and circle really offset my posies arrangement and gave the card more of a focal point.

IMG_3586

The feather strokes became my design on the petals. Adding white dots make the flower busy but, I enjoy it so what the heck 🙂
Just testing to see if this works?

Beautiful! The addition of the white gel pen makes it pop…I need to practice more with mine! This has been so much fun to play along. I have visited stamp sets and coloring mediums that I have been away from for too long. Thanks for getting it all started!

Wow, that must have been the quickest ‘video’ ever. Reminds me of trying to play Pacman on a 486 PC back in the 80s LOL. At least your flipagram showed the various steps, so that’s a good thing. Love that image and what you did with it. I’m currently finding myself on the lookout for images that are easy to colour and you also got me to print out several digital images that were just ‘hiding’ in my computer.

Hi Kathy, I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE this card, LOVE the color, the flower. I sure hope on the video you do on Monday it explains ” fussy cut” I have been scrapping and card making awhile and seen this word so many times BUT I have NO idea what it means ?? Or how you do it, I would love to finally learn that. Also this “flipagram”, I was so confused what to do, are we suppose to sign up on there to see your videos now? You can tell I am NOT up with all this new stuff and I sure am not computer savy, like I have really enjoyed the coloring challenge, but I still can’t figure out how to get a few of my things uploaded on my computer, but I decided it was finally not worth my frustration, it was taking away from the reason I was trying this, I have a HUGE amount of stress in my life and I was using this challenge to try to help with that. Anyways, back to your amazing card, I so look forward to that video. Thank you Kathy. OOPS, I almost forgot tell your hubby he is in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery, bless you both.

Kathy thanks so much for sharing this card today. It is drop dead gorgeous! Wow is all I can say!! The flowers just pop with that vibrant shade of purple and so love how they are clustered. Love everything about it right down to the stitches on the card. Love those die cuts. I just want to say that the way you did your video with the flip-a-gram was a very clever idea! I had no problems seeing the video and I really would like to learn more about it so maybe I can use it for my own blog when I share things. I think it is much more convenient for bloggers like myself, who are finding it hard to make a post, to use something like this instead of making videos which can be very time consuming. Thanks for sharing it here and providing us all with another way to share our creations. Love what you sharing here and look forward to creating with you. Hugs.

WOW, WOW, WOW what an awesome card just beautiful dear. I so badly want to be as good as you and hopefully some day I can. I’ve been taking a lot of the online classes but I get so far behind because I am trying to make cards along with the instructor’s. I do take my time and I am learning but, not sure I could ever produce something as beautiful as this card. Kathy you have out done yourself. Your hubby must be very proud of you.

I love your card…..it is simp,e, but not really! The colors are pretty, especially for this time of year when I am craving Spring and warm weather!! I am new to your blog and have enjoyed looking around and love your videos. I have been stamping and making cards for at least 20 years…..I started out stamping, but now I really look for stamos that I can color….either watercolor or with Copics. I love the Copics, but their price prevents me from having as many as I would love to have! Thanks so much for the time you put into your videos. They are so appreciated!!
