a little birdie …. and winner announced

IMG_9574

Hello Friends, How has your week been? I have a quick card that I pulled together easily to share with you today. Bird and flowers stamps are my all time favorite so when I saw this bird stamp set from Dina Wakley  I knew I had to have it. The envelope he’s holding in his beak is from this stamp set. I used a stencil called “Large Dots” with some distress ink for the background. The “Striped Greetings” was the perfect large sentiment for my card.

We have a winner of Simon’s large Hello die cut as seen in this post.

A super big Congrats to Joy!! Thank You all for leaving some love at the Simon blog. Stay tuned for more giveaways soon & I am grateful for your visit today. Hugs, Kathy

Always love your cards, Kathy. I’m running out of nice things to say. (ha,ha) I just want to pick your brain on something. I saw what you did to spruce up the “save the date” card that you received (it was AWESOME) , but do you ever decorate the envelopes when you mail someone a card? How about decorating the inside of the card? What tips/ideas can you give me for decorating the INSIDE of a card? How would you do it? Like for example, your beautiful many tiered wedding cake. Would you just do color or something related to the front of the card or something else random? Just curious. I LOVE envelopes and want to start decorating my envelopes and the inside of my cards, but I just wanted to hear some of your ideas. Marisela

Hi Marisela, Hummm the inside. I usually spend so much on my card I just do a complimentary color on the inside. Using a die cut can compliment the outside nicely like I did here. https://www.thedailymarker.com/2014/04/blog-hop-simon-says-stamp-new-release/
The cake card on the inside I might just carry the pattern on the cake (the flowers) just in the bottom corner. Your recipients are very lucky that you decorate the inside of a card and the envelope! Hope this helped and thanks for asking. 🙂

Welcome Friends!
