card kit giveaway

thedailymarker simon says card kit1

Hello Friends, As promised … today I bring you Simon Says Stamp MAYcard kit! I have one to GIVEAWAY to one of you! Just leave me a comment and I will pick a winner the end of next week. Every month I enjoy receiving Simon Says card kit full of goodies & inspiration that make it easy to create quick cards. Today I have a tip for you on transforming some busy cardstock.

Image 5

So many fun papers from Fancy Pants in the kit and I fell in love with these little monsters but, I wanted to use them more as an accent. After using the distress ink with the stars & dot stencil included the kit (yes pretty cool) on some white cardstock I glued a strip of the monsters on the cardstock. I die cut my favorite butterfly & mounted it on my card base using more of the geometric papers in the kit. Such a fun way to transform some paper.

Image 4

I needed the butterfly to stand tall and proud on my card base so it was time to take out my scrap dots. Just put a nice clump on the butterfly and give it some time to dry once you place it on your card. The antenna was cut free hand from some scraps and colored black. I also added some white dots to the centers of the distressed stars. Click here if you are interested in subscribing to SSS card kits for a great value. By the way have you noticed the new Simon Says Stamp Store? Oh my it’s incredible!!! Thanks to Simon for allowing me to give a card kit away each month!!

A BIG Thanks to you for your visit today! Hugs, Kathy

You do the most intersting things with your die cuts on cards, Kathy! Thanks for that great tip and a chance to win the May SSS kit. I’m very close to giving up SU card class comitment, so I can do either SSS card kits or Papertrey. There are so many fun companies now that do their own stamps with matching dies, that it’s hard to choose. I’m leaning toward SSS, I like their affordable monthly kits. PTI’s new monthly kit is $90, with dies exclusive to the kit, only available for 5-6 days? That doesn’t leave much wiggle room.
