mama elephant blog hop

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Anniversary Stampede Day TWO Blog Hop! Click here if you missed Day One.
I am honored to be celebrating Mama Elephant’s ONE BIG YEAR!!  They have a rock star Design Team plus an all star line-up of friends & guest designers participating in the Stampede. If you are arriving from my special friend Jennifer McGuire’s blog you are in the right place. To start from the beginning click here.
The new stamp set called, “Cozy Christmas” warmed my heart right away. I created a wintery card and a Christmas card for the hop.  Such fun creating little scenes with all of the fun accents in the the stamp set. (Both backgrounds were created with the same stencil).
After coloring the sweet Mr. & Mrs. Claus with some Copic blending sets I created a snowy background with this stencil and Unicorn White Ink.
Lots of little details: Glitter on the fur, Glossy Accents on Mrs. Claus eye glasses, glass of milk & the boots.  Stickles were brushed on the trees.
The sentiment was stamped on a wonderful thick vellum. I cut and colored a trunk for the tree from the perfect woodgrain paper.
I wanted a card where the tree would stand on it’s own for any occasion. So much fun creating a fringe tree by fussing cutting each layer. I have a video that is almost complete but, due to a family emergency I will share it next week. If you don’t want to miss the video you might want to subscribe to my YouTube channel here. The background was created with this stencil and some embossing paste & glitter.

Let’s talk prizes! Mama Elephant is giving away a $10 gift certificate on every stop of the Stampede!
