Giveaway … trying out a new way

Hello Friends, How are you today? I have a beautiful Peacock background stamp from Penny Black to giveaway. (The card is optional if you are a butterfly lover) For some time I have been wanting to try a giveaway with a new format from Rafflecopter. I would love to hear how you like the format. This way you can check back to see who won easily and the winner will be chosen in a timely fashion. Now mailing the prize is another ball game. Most of you that have won something know that I am not so quick but, I always … always add extra goodies the longer you have to wait 🙂 I am lucky to have very patient and kind winners…. a win win for me!

I love how rich the background looks with the combination of these two inks…. Picked Raspberry and Lilac Posies (the new Luxe ink) The whimsical butterfies  are from Penny Black too.

I just had to add some white dots to the centers of the background. The sentiment from Simon Says Stamp was inked up with this and this ink on the vellum. Be sure to heat set the inks before adhering to your card by adding a pin dot of Glossy Accents. One last thing … I outlined the “Always” with a fine tip permanet marker to add some dimension. Hope you enjoy the giveaway & thank YOU for your visit today. Hugs, Kathy
P.S. Looks like I may have done something wrong setting up Rafflecopter? ACK! I will pick a winner from the comments as well. So far this experiment isn’t so hot! Appreciate your feedback. 🙂

Love your card, including the whimsical butterflies. Too bad I don’t do Pinterest, which means I cannot enter your giveaway. However, I did just create and upload a card using one of the gently used stamps you sent me because I was such a kind and patient winner lol. Never expected this would be one of the first of the stamps I’d use.

Gorgeous card! The butterflies are so pretty and that background stamp looks fabulous. How do you get the vellum on without glue or tape showing? I’ve tried vellum tape, but it’s still visible.

From the comments it looks like the Rafflecopter worked for the first 5 or so people. I’ve not had problems with them before, but like others I’m seeing the ‘Enter to Win’ but not the options for gaining entries.

Lovely card, thanks for the tips on how you made it. As for Rafflecopter, I’ve used it many times on other sites. It’s ok. It did take me a long time to get used to clicking on the first item before commenting, which is usually the first request. There’s usually a specific question that has to be answered, or some special request for the comment. Then you have to navigate to the comment form, do what was requested, and go back again to RC. Many times it is filled with requests for pinning and tweeting and blogging and so on. I only do FB, that’s where I draw the line. I don’t tweet, I don’t pin, I don’t have a blog. I still have my sanity. If I tried to do all those other things I’d never get up out of this seat, ever. Once you get the hang of it, I think you’ll like RC. It took me a while to get the hang of using it, but I get it now. I appreciate the fact that it takes a bit less time, especially with the FB button right there. Can’t promise I’ll ever look at FB, but I do read my emails. Good luck, and thanks for the giveaways. It is a nice surprise to get a little gifty in the mail now and then. Nobody else is going to figure out what I REALLY want.

I tried the Rafflecopter and it didn’t seem to work for me either. I actually don’t like rafflecopter very much because to me it never feels like I entered the contest properly…there’s no submit button to make me feel like I’ve finished everything I need to do for it if that makes sense. And since I’ve never won anything from a Rafflecopter giveaway, I’m always suspicious that they don’t work anyway.

But anyway, I always love your cards and this one is no exception. You are one of the few true card makers who is also an artist, because you don’t just accept the stamped image as-is…you always add something to it that I had no idea it needed until I see that you’ve done it. Beautiful card, and thanks so much for the giveaway!

I just had a go on your Rafflecopter. I have never heard of it before but signed in. I am not sure if it actually did anything but it sounds fun.
I think your card is beautiful. I love the rich raspberry colour and the Penny Black stamp pattern. I am a big fan of faux stitching but mine is not always as neat as yours.
Thank you for the chance to win this fab prize.

Love the card, don’t like Rafflecopter. Every time I have tried to use it, it takes forever. Trying to sign in to all of the accounts and then figuring out what to do next has made me quit entering anything that uses it.

I love the colors of this card and I always love making cards with butterflies. I have been trying to use more vellum in my card making as well. I do not use any of the social networks so I depend on the comment posts. I am new to the rafflecopter so I hope I am doing this right. Thanks for sharing.

I never like rafflecopter – I am glad it did not work, ha ha – i especiallly hate it when it makes you like things on facebook or tweet about them – maybe I am too old for that stuff, but I have basically given up on it when I see it….

I like this background stamp so much, it is very elegant and I already have few ideas how to use it on wedding invitations – white embossing on cream background…
So I’m keeping my fingers crossed (for me, naturally) 🙂

I like Raftercopter when their is a way for me to enter like leaving a comment. Most of the time people do Facebook, Pinterest etc requirements which leave a lot of us out that do not have those accts. I personally like to follow blogs by email then I have one place to go and do not miss anyone I follow.
I would LOVE to win your beautiful card and paper.

Oops! – Rafflecopter is not working for me either. It let me enter my name and email but will not let me “enter to win.” It seems to be one of the two popular ways for giveaways. Mr. Linky being the other..which seems easier. I’m often left out of contests/giveaways as I don’t do Facebook or Twitter. Which I think is…well mean.

The stamp is fantastic and would love to win, of course and your card is gorgeous. Love the color combo of inks you have chosen.

Ha! Makes me laugh that rafflecopter got goofy on you, but I do prefer it as a method of entry. Mostly because some blogs have a “captcha” code that makes me think I’m having a stroke when I can’t figure it out. Is it just me? 🙂

Thanks for the chance to win, that’s a GREAT stamp.

Rafflecopter is treating me the same way as everyone else — I’m logged in, but it offers no options to enter. I understand rafflecopter is useful for bloggers to increase their social marketing, but personally I just find it annoying. I don’t pin or tweet, so that does me no good.

For your card, I’m impressed with how you brought those different stamp sets together to create such a unified card. Would love the card if I win! Thanks for the chance.
