giveaway – june card kit

Hello Friends, How are you today? Hopefully your day will be a little brighter because I have the NEW & exciting Simon Says Stamp JUNE 2013 card kit to GIVEAWAY to one of you!

If I had a crystal ball I would guess that this kit will sell out fast. I know first hand that Simon works really hard at making enough kits to meet demand and believe it or not… their goal is NOT to sell out. Yup… they like to have extra card kits on hand. Nothing worse when you want something and you can’t get it right? That becomes frustrating for you and for Simon. Unfortunately, it’s hard to predict how many kits will sell & sometimes they don’t get the numbers right. So that’s it in a nutshell but, I thought it was important for you to know that in case you ordered a Kelly Purkey kit or one of the Simon kits and they were sold out.

HOW TO WIN THIS JUNE CARD KIT? JUST LEAVE ME A COMMENT ON THIS POST AND I WILL RANDOMLY SELECT A WINNER JUNE 1st.
(if you have ordered the kit you will be refunded the amount of the card kit)Please mark your calendar to check back. If you don’t have a blog leave me your email… thanks 🙂

In my last post I created two Father’s Days cards with the June kit. It’s no surprise that everything is still out on my desk… LUCKY ME…. so it was easy to throw together tonight’s card. The Penny Black owl called “Very Wise” was sitting on my desk … so on it went.

I thought I would show you the difference a few dots and some Enamel Accents makes. I always end up making the pupil of the eyes larger because I think it brings the images to life. Here is a post I did on eyes. See the “before”owl on the right and the “after” on the left.

I ended up using Glossy Accents on the graduation hat to resemble that shiny fabric all hats are made from. I always clip the fur on my critters and I noticed in this large photo I missed a spot on the left of the eye! … it’s driving me nuts lol.

I wanted to use this die cut house more as a symbolic house ….. leaving the nest sort of thing. When I popped the house I purposely left it askew for a shadow effect.  I flipped over this cool wooden banner and used these letters to create my message. I can’t believe the letters fit so perfectly. Love it when things work out so seamlessly. Thanks for popping in today I so appreciate it. Have a great weekend! Hugs, Kathy
