fathers day – june card kit

Hello Friends, How was your weekend? I hope it was full of sunshine 🙂
Today Simon Says Stamp is debuting their NEW June Card Kit 2013. I think you will love it as much as I do.

Like I always say…. the value is incredible and I only say it because it’s the truth. I had so much fun creating paper with the stamp set in the kit for my two Father’s Day Cards.

The Hero Arts Charcoal ink was the perfect masculine color to stamp my background with and on trend too. I created a window with this die cut that’s incredibly versatile. Here is another card I created with that same die.

I used some 40lb vellum over the die so the “window” would stand out more in a way.

I distressed with with Gathered Twigs after stamping on the paper from BasicGrey called Hipster.

Just a snap shot of the vellum and the paper I created with this stamp set in the kit BEFORE I distressed it.

The wood tags really popped when I added distress ink to them as well. Easy and fun!

I stuck the sticker letters to the card stock in the card kit. Cut them out and added Glossy Accents. I used a this tool to hold them down while adding the glossy accents.

The second card is for my awesome step dad… better known as a “bonus dad”. I wish you could see how the letters pop with the glossy accents but, I am sure you can visualize. Thanks so much for your visit and hope to see you soon. Hugs, Kathy
