leftover stars

Hello Friends, How are you?? It feels like it’s been forever since my last post !?
We are enjoying our new home along with the fun part of moving… unpacking & workmen 🙂

This
sweet image called “Fairy Holly” from Penny Black has been colored for months and finally I took time to create a place for her to land. This die cut from Simon Says Stamp was on my wish list & I am delighted to be creating with it. I was determined to use all parts of the die…even the leftover stars. They were too perfect to go in the trash bin after die cutting the moon (that was created with circles from Spellbinders.)
A yellow Copic was used to give the stars and the moon a soft glow. The sentiment was carried into the inside to finish the phrase. This glue pen is the only one that works perfectly every time for anything tiny especially delicate letters.
I used this soft shimmer on the background and her wings because I wanted a soft, fine glow.
On the moon  I was going for lots of shine so I used some distress stickles like this and I added a tad of color with a Copic Y11 marker.
Here
is another card I created with the die cut from Simon Says Stamp. Thank you for your visit I am so happy you take the time to stop in. Off to bed because the workmen arrive at 7am! Not a good schedule for a night owl. Hugs, Kathy

Brilliant that you’re getting settled – it takes time to get things straight though. Love your colouring of the image with the way those greens pop against the deep blue of the background sky. The stars & moon give it a perfect atmosphere & I love the way you carried the sentiment through from the front to the inside of the card.
Take care & hope the night owl can soon get back to more congenial hours of wakefulness (I KNOW for I too am equipped with that particular gene).

So glad you are settling into your new home. I love a fresh start sometimes. New rooms to arrange and decorate, it’s all fun in spite of the hard work. These PB fairy stamps have such sweet faces and you’ve colored her perfectly. Boy that star die is a die cutter dream with no edges, how fun. And what a brilliant moon from your circle dies. You are so clever!
