world card making day

Hello Friends!! I’m so excited that today is World Card Making Day…so I thought it was but, I found out it’s really on October 6th…lol but, I decided to procede and celebrate anyway with some of my favorite things. Basic Grey, Copic Markers, Penny Black, Simon Says Stamp die cuts, Spellbinders and SRM stickers. They really are my favorites and if you poke around my blog you will find it’s true.

This leaf from Penny Black called fall foliage is perfect for fall and it can be colored to change with the seasons.

Don’t you love the strip with the holes?? It’s one of Simon Say’s dies that I use all the time. The sentiment is from this SRM stickers. I used a big, fat vintage button to tie everything together… literally! As you may have guessed the yummy paper is from Basic Grey and the Spellbinders die is Labels 18…one of my favorites.  I colored the leaf with Copic markers and drew a line with glossy accents for veins in the leaves. I hope with  my upcoming move that I will be back for the correct World Card Making Day. Have a great week! Hugs, Kathy

This is absolutely stunning Kathy – the colours of that leaf just took my breath away. The aqua & orange is terrific as well & I just love the way the brown of the button pulls it all together (colour theory lesson in that card too – if I remember rightly aqua & orange will produce brown….have to test that one out). Hope it all goes smoothly with the move.
    Take care & much love

Gorgeous! I love the slightly more subdued version I’d aqua and orange. And as everyone else has said, the lead is amazing. That circle die is one of my favorites, too 🙂

Two questions Kathy. 1st, can’t figure out what Basic Grey paper it is and I liked it – the link isn’t bringing me to the paper. 2nd, I went to the World Card Making site that was linked and it doesn’t say where to upload or send your cards for the chance to win – do you know?
