nephew money card

Hello Friends, Thought I would stop in to share a quick card that I designed for my nephew. The papers from the BasicGrey Serenade collection are perfect for a 20 year old boy. I thought the background paper looks liked a journey that life can take you. This beautiful hand written sentiment stamp is from Simon Says Stamp.
We always give the nieces and nephews money and usually I tape it on the bottom of a cracker box or something silly … then wrap it. Decided to turn over a new leaf and do something different.
To get the shape of the pocket I used this die cut from Spellbinders….the same on that’s on the front of the card & the hearts are from SB too. The letters are stickers from the BasicGrey Serenade collection.
Just a little distress ink can add so much.
I love the way the ink enhances the paper.
I love this die from Simon Says Stamp!! Add a little ink to the die and  it will really enhance your card…any card!
See you Monday 🙂 Hugs, Kathy

Beautiful card Kathy!! Love the circle border die, and the faux stitching goes perfectly with the stitched ribbon!

Absolutely super the way the pocket echoes the front of the card & I love the way you use that die. The blue edging for the heart accents the map beautifully too.
A lovely lot of thought for a twenty-year old.

I love this card, Kathy! The layered dies and the distress inking; plus the way you used a portion of the die for the pocket. Very clever and what fun for your nephew to receive this!!
