washi and die cutting

Using washi tape
Hello Friends, How have you been? Can you believe that it’s August already…crazy!! This past week was filled with great memories & fun times because one of my closest friends was here to visit. I hope your summer has been filled with wonderful memories too 🙂

I had so much fun making these washi clouds with this die cut from “My Favorite Things” and these happy clouds have been on my desk for weeks! Have you die cut some washi yet?? All you have to do is apply the washi tape to some card stock alternating different tapes and then die cut them. Super easy! I used this Penny Black stamp to jazz up my happy scene and Mimi’s eyes really stand out because I used this on them. The sentiment strip is from this from SRM sticker sheet.

Using washi tape
This die cut window that comes in two sizes….love that :)I used the larger one on this card and the smaller size is on my wish list…yes.. I need them both and these matching shutters. I have made many window cards in the past and these window die cuts (from Memory Box) will be a HUGE time saver for me. Have you tried the new Spellbinder M-Bossibilities? Love the deep impression they give and this one you see on my card. They have two different sides that really separates them from any other embossing folder but, you might know that already?? Have you been crafty this summer?? I would love to hear what you have been up to. Thanks for poppin in. Hugs, Kathy

Thought I would share my favorite windwo card that I created last year…check it out here and this one was a fun one for me.

A beautiful card Kathy and it sure must be a big relief with a die for the window, instead of cutting it by ands LOL. Not sure i would make many then ha ha ha.
As always you do such a stunning work on everything you makes.

I had not thought of washi tape for die-cutting at all. I can see those clouds being a cheery aid to crafting on your desk though! Your detailed attention to the wallpaper inside the window frame & the wooden effect of the window itself make this particularly effective.
I’ve been learning to tangle, having long periods of bed rest (jaw infection & migraines) has curtailed my inky stamping ventures somewhat but the tangling keeps me creative.
