a masked collage and a winner

All you need....
Hello Friends, How are you? Have you seen technique week at the Penny Black blog? I was inspired by the creativity on the PB blog so I made a collage with lots of masking and stamps that I wouldn’t necessarily put together.
All you need....
Lots of Copic coloring on the stamps and this Spellbinder boarder. Have you tried the new embossing folders from Spellbinders? They are amazing and you get such a beautiful embossed impression!!! PLUS there is two sides to each folder. On the top card my white is faded out but, trust me it’s beautifully embossed with this. While we are taking embossing…let’s jump to creasing. There is a NEW Teflon bone folder out (it’s a little pricey) but, if that shinny line drives you nuts you will LOVE this one that is used by graphic artists and book binders.

I cut this sentiment in half and put the other half on the inside. Scrap Dots was used on the butterfly from Penny Black for more dimension. I punched out these butterflies from Martha Stewart, colored them with Copics and added a black marker to the edges to really make them stand out. I added white dots to a random flourish stamp I had and inked up the edges of the card with distress ink listed in the supplies.
This is one of my favorite butterflies right now it’s still in stock at Simon Says Stamp. I fear it might be discontinued. Thanks for your visit!! I guess I should draw that winner….hold on…..

Terrific with all the colours & your whitework. The masking is beautifully set off by your matting with the black & white. One of your masterpieces this one!
