Flower Soft Blog Hop

IMG_5351
Hello Friends,
Penny Black is getting a jump on 2012 and kicking it off with a bang! Welcome to Penny Black’s first blog hop featuring artwork using Penny Black stamps & Flower Soft. I’m sure you will be inspired by the Design Teams’ creative projects as you hop along to their blogs. Join us for a weekend-long celebration with prizes, challenges & more prizes!

If you are just starting you might want to start at Penny Black’s blog.

If you are
arriving from the talented
Lisa Murphy‘s blog you are in the right place. I welcome you to my blog & appreciate your visit.
IMG_5359
I have always enjoyed incorporating Flower Soft on my cards & in my projects. Typically I love to use the Ultra Fine Flower Soft as I did today in both of my cards.
My cards can get fairly detailed so I have a more simple version of my first card below this one.
IMG_5361
I used this glue pen to add the blue flower soft on the lines of my flower. Flower Soft was also used on the mound of dirt in the “planter”& the flowers center.
For the background I used this stamp with this Memento ink & distressed the background after stamping using Tumbled Glass. The flower pot is from Spellbinders & I find myself using this die a lot. The flower & leaves were colored with Copic markers then I added some distress ink on the leaves to enhance my coloring.
IMG_5352
I had to finish off the inside to carry the rest of the sentiment message.
IMG_5368
This is a simpler card that is just one layer. I did stamp the flower center & leaves an extra time to cut & color with distress ink.

Now it’s time to hop to Jeanne Streiff‘s beautiful and creative blog.
Thank you so much for your visit and I hope you enjoy the hop. Wishing you all the best in 2012. Hugs, Kathy
