Starbucks Gift Card Holder & a photo

Gift Card Holder
Hello Friends, How are you?? It seems like it has been forever since my last post. My DD just had her junior year homecoming dance. Can you believe she created a pattern to make her own dress for the big day. The DAY OF the dance she told me she wouldn’t have enough time to finish the dress!! Imagine my panic…. but, I remained calm. I had some good friends on twitter that sent us some good energy & the stars must have been aligned because we scored a dress and she looked beautiful.
You can find a photo at the bottom of the post. Ok………. enough about that.
I have a gift card holder for you that I created for the Penny Black blog today. This particular gift card is from Starbucks and it’s smaller than the typical one & I found it to be the perfect size for this card.
I can not find this particular card on line so check your local store.
Gift Card Holder
This image called “Little Elf Present” is so much fun to color. (At the bottom of this post I will share another card I created with this same image.)  Here and here are a few other gift card holders I made last year.

IMG_4706
This is the envelope that came with the gift card from Starbucks. I carefully pulled it apart to open it up and traced it. The dotted lines show me where to score the gift card holder with a bone folder.
IMG_4708
Before I cut it out I stamped it with this transparent set from PB. (love the sentiments)  I stamped the sentiment and poinsettia with red ink and outlined them with a blue copic marker.
IMG_4710
Before I glue down the gift card envelope I dry embossed my paper with my favorite embossing folder here.
Gift Card Holder
To apply the glitter on the small accents I used a glue pen that makes life so easy. The glitter is from  Martha Stewart. Since I can’t find small jingle bells I added there yummy pearl dots with a Pearl Pen that I just fell in love with. The face colors are listed in the supply list below. Any green or red will do.

Here is the other card and now the photo I promised. I hope you don’t mind me sharing.  Have a great week & thank YOU for stopping by I so appreciate you taking time from your day! Hugs, Kathy

You know what’s funny about this?? I ordered a corsage instead of a boutonniere. Both of them took it in stride.
Here’s a photo of the paparazzi parents.

Lovely dress! (And what a beautiful corsage the young man is wearing. I’ll bet that came off before they got to the dance! What a fun story they will have to tell their grandkids!)
I’d love to see the dress your daughter was making, when she finishes. She can wear it to the next dance.

It’s so interesting to see dances still being attended & lovely to see both the young people dressed so properly & smartly. I love these old traditional values.
As for your creation – that envelope is a real beauty & I love the pearl pen accents & the striking dry embossing. Using the traditional red & green for your card base layering is a super idea.

    Hi Kathy,

The Starbucks card is just fabulous–you are just so inventive, and really upped the impact of receiving a gift that might sometimes feel impersonal albeit very appreciated! DD looks fabulous, and I adore the assemblage of parents taking their photos! Thanks for including that. Rachel

If you spend 10 to 15 dollars more you can buy 60 tablets of 750 mg strength. Products to control weight are numerous and every week there seems to be yet another ‘quick fix’ solution although the Hoodia’ plant could be the exception; the discovery of the Hoodia plant has given real hope to many. It takes about 5 years before hoodia’s pale purple flowers appear and the cactus can be harvested.
