Papercrafts Inspirations blog hop

Hello Friends, How is your weekend going? Are you feeling the crunch of colorful leaves under your feet??

A Gift
I am popping in today because Papercrafts Inspirations is having a blog hop and Penny Black is playing along. Cathy A. created an awesome shaker card on the Penny Black blog that is so incredibly clever….I think you will love it :). For my card I used lots papers in this beautiful 6×6 paper pad from Echo Park. I added some Spun Sugar distress ink to the edges of the papers to draw the eye in to the center of my card. On the wrapping paper I added one of the new Ranger colors called “Twig” that I just love!  After coloring her with Copic markers I stamped the dress with this background stamp (that I use ALL the time) .
Red stickles on her shoes and the holly give the card that extra shine that makes me happy. The sewing was quick and easy with Tim Holtz’s ruler and the Sew Easy pad.
We are headed to the furniture market in North Carolina this weekend. I used to buy for a retail store about 25 years ago so it will be fun to go back and see how things have changed. Not near as fun as a stamping event. I hope your weekend is a good one & remember that I so appreciate that you take the time to stop by. Hugs, Kathy

Terrific with the dimension of that background stamping on her dress. I do love these muted Christmas colours which still reflect the traditional red & green. The detail that your sewing adds is beatiful both in terms of colour & texture.

She’s wonderful, Kathy! And I have to mention that I think it amazing the way you can see a stamp and alter it to suit your cards! Really inspirational!
