DAY FOUR- beginner vellum card

Hello Friends, I can’t believe the week just zoomed by. Are the fall colors presenting themselves in your neck of the woods??

Today I have a winter card for you and it’s DAY FOUR of my Paper Crafts Inspirations “Master Class” on vellum. Have you see the magazine by any chance?? I am still waiting for my copy to arrive?

This card is sooo incredibly super simple. This patterned vellum is so beautiful I wanted to save it. Are you familiar with “Webster’s Pages? You can check out the beautiful vellum they have to offer here.

All you need to do is die cut or punch an oval from your vellum. This particular page had a sentiment right on it…perfect! The cut out some coordinating paper to layer your vellum. There is vellum tape that works nicely if it’s light paper like this or you can use a small dot of Glossy Accents. I sewed the top of this vellum panel ( and tied tiny bows at the top of the card. Punched the bottom, added a bow, an antique button and popped my oval sentiment and you are done.
Ahh…one more thing… Punch a butterfly out of vellum and the matching card stock.

Simons Says has some paper kits that are beautiful from Webster’s Pages unfortunately, I created this card months ago and now it’s not available or I wasn’t able to find until now…here. Have a wonderful weekend!! Hugs, Kathy

That oval immediately caught my eye! I love it cut out and popped up–it’s such an interesting look. Beautiful card, and that bow is to die for!

My eye was initially caught by how perfect your lining up of that sentiment panel with the patterning of the main layer – & then I saw why. It’s superbly effective with that dimension too & I just love how you have the horizontal ribbon underneath it then the bow tied over it – hope that makes sense. Your sewing across the top is quite delightfully accented with those little bows too.
