It’s Easter Week at Penny Black

Hello Friends, This week on the Penny Black Blog you find Easter cards all week. I hope you will find some inspiration to make cards for the special people in your life for the Easter holiday. Today my card is the feature at the PB blog 🙂

Sending Happy Thoughts
To create this little scene I stamped the grass with some green ink and colored the blades of grass with some Copic markers. I used a piece of paper to mask off the grass then added the distress ink to create a dirt road appearance.

Sending Happy Thoughts

I stamped the wheels and eggs on some scrap paper then cut the eggs off of the cart. Once you cut the eggs out turn them over then add a lot of glue and lots of glitter. Wrap with ribbon.

Sending Happy Thoughts

Use a blade to cut out the inside of the wheels. Just draw a jagged edge on one of the eggs for the crack. The sentiment is from SRM stickers and the ribbon is from May Arts.

I love the detail of the ribbon in this & the grass blades with the dirt road . The shading on the little carts is so effective & that chick hatching out is a lovely touch. The way the sky can be seen through the blades of grass is so effective & I really like the way the blades are separately coloured.
The base cardstock pickcs out the colours of the eggs beautifully too. Goodness – there is so much in this. Love it.
