I love these new Mimi stamps

Hello Friends, Can you believe that it’s Friday again?? Time flies when you are getting older. Any plans for your weekend?? I have to catch up on everything…especially emails! Today marks seven days for me….seven days of a detox program I am doing. That’s 80% veggies and 20% fruit so… that means lots and lots of chopping and cooking all week. I do feel great though.

You might recognize these cards? I made them for the Penny Black 2011 Spring Catalog. I colored them with Copics for the face & hair and  Tombow (water color markers )for the body etc. Love the  background and you can find it in the supply list. The bright and yummy papers are from the new Penny Black “Mix & Match” papers.

    I second Ujjwal’s request for a video tutorial!!! I am always in awe of your work and especially love your coloring with distressed inks and tombow markers.

    Love the cards too….I have yet to to by a Mimi stamp and I think I will/should. Thank you for the amazing inspiration.

I’m sure you were just being polite in asking – but seriously I’m know I’m not alone in being a HUGE fan of your artwork and would love, love, seriously love to see you in action.     Yes please to the colouring video – I learn so much from each of your posts & very much appreciate the links to products you give. I love the fact that you work with both classic & cute images & the way that you showcase the Penny Black stamps is so intructive. Take care of yourself with the detoc – it takes some organization & prep to follow one of those.

    Sorry about the second instalment – I do like the way you’ve made these two images such individuals – I love that ‘merci” star with the twine & the way you have given dimension to some of the birs in the second. That background in the first is such a versatile stamp set too & it’s great seeing all the ways you are using it.

    I’m glad your diet is going well, my husband recently started one and sometimes all the cooking is a lot. Good for you for sticking with it!!

    Great idea with the video! I know I would be able to learn a lot from it! Can’t afford a class just now!
    Also, would love to hear more about your detox program…is there a web link? I recently got a medical diagnosis that dictates I change my diet. Might be a good idea to try this! Glad you’re feeling better!

    Kathy, finally i found somebody said “time flies when you are getting older”, instead of me hearing “when you are having fun” all the time…! cuz that’s how I feel!! LOL! Luv the colors you used for mimi’s cards! She is a cutie… i still haven’t gotton any of her stamp yet though.. AND, yes, i SPOTTED another BEAUTIFUL little bird with EYELASHES!! I never miss it! LOL! AND, yes, i would love your VIDEO tutorial of coloring!!! 🙂

    I love your use of the background stamp with the mimi stamp on your first card. Love the bright colors also. Wonderful cards! Actually, now I know why the second card looked so bright, I am used to seeing texture on everything that you do, whether it is by embossing, background stamping ect…I don’t think this is a bad thing though, you are so creative, your work is always wonderful! Thank you for sharing.
