Is it to early to think spring?

Hello Friends, Thank you for all of your sweet comments on my Ranger color chart in my last post! I’m one lucky gal for you to take time from your busy day to leave a comment *thank YOU*

I was in the mood to make card reminiscent of spring. It’s so cold here and the forecasters are predicting snow. When I colored this butterfly with green copic markers I didn’t blend the colors like I usually do. Instead if you look close you will see I colored a line of dark, a line of the medium color and next to that a lighter color. If you feel like you don’t blend colors well I think this is a nice solution. I do like the effect.

This butterfly is such a great size and I love how dramatic the wings are. Both stamps are from Penny Black and you will find them in the supply list at the bottom of my post.

Now for some news. Do you have an iphone? There is a really cool app from CCS stamps that I actually have on my phone and love it. Through sponsorship with Caardvarks I designed a card for the app that can only be seen on the app and will be featured on Jan 18th. Here is the link for the app. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Kathy

LOL!.. wishful thinking! …I luv how you colored this butterfly! Stunning! I also got to see the paisely stamp image on your card, and now i want that too!lol! Often i find Stamps which didn’t appeal to me before but after somebody makes a card with it, it turns out to look nice, and I put that in my wish list! and this stamp now is in my wishlist! 🙂

I’m definitely ready for spring and your beautiful butterfly gives me hope that it will arrive… eventually! I don’t know if it’s your coloring, the white dashes, or my eyesight, but that butterfly looks quilted to me. I love it.

For those who live closer to Spring, it’s never too early, I am at least 5 months away, so I dare not to think it yet 🙂

Nope, it’s never too early to start dreaming of spring – even if it’s months away (hope sustains us)! I love your pretty card, Kathy – the greens and soft yellow are wonderful, and I love the effect of your copic colouring!
And how cool to have designed a card for an iphone app! Congrats!! No iphone for me, so I’ll have to wait to see it here – beautiful peek, though!
