Day three of our Trio Challenge

Hello Friends, Welcome to the third day of our “Trio Challenge” . The stamp that Lucy, Jennifer and I are showcasing today is from from Hero Arts and i think you will love it. I am just as excited as you are to see what Jennifer and Lucy has designed for us with this same stamp. Just click on their names to see how they will inspire us today.

Be Jolly

Be Jolly

The white dots gave this front panel that little extra something that I was looking for.

Be Jolly

I have always loved decorating with holly and enjoy the holly trees in our yard. So you can imagine that I love to color holly too. I used my copic markers on white paper for this card. I applied glossy accents to the berries. The goal was to keep this a clean and simple card but, I still needed something to draw your eye to the center . I used  a large oval nestie and cut right through the colored center panel. Then I used pop dots to elevate the cut panel. At this point it was clear that I needed to color more holly leaves to glue around the oval.

Copic colors: (Greens) G02, G05, G07 and YG95  (blues) B000, B02
Note: I use more of the blue in the corners to draw your eyes more to the center. I colored all the blue you see in the card. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your comments. This weekend is a special one because it’s parents weekend at our sons college. We are enjoying spending some quality time with him! I hope you had a great weekend! Hugs, Kathy

Holy is always cheerful. Coloring good and white dots add to this peaceful card. Like the cut out which I don’t usually do. You could slip a photo in there if wanted.
