20th Anniversay Card

Hello Friends, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. It was my daughters homecoming so I hope to post a photo soon. This week Penny Black is featuring all of their designers on the Penny Black BLOG here with some fun questions. I am up today if you have a minute to stop by…I would  love that 🙂
As you know we just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and this is the card I made my hubby. Twenty Years
Love the glossy  accents on the eyes.
I stamped the letters with a green ink & cut them out. Then I stamped the letters again with embossing ink and clear powder using the pointille stamp as seen below. Added some walnut distressing ink for dimension. I laid the letters on some craft paper that was stamped with the music notes and distressed the edges. The tiny letters are from SRM stickers. The sweet owl was colored with Copic markers and dotted with a white gel pen. A heavy layer of Glossy Accents was added to the owl’s eyes. The yellow paper is from Pink Paislee. I used a new product called Scrap Dot. I find this product to be AWESOME! I was able to get these staggered letters with ease. Scrap Dots is a thick goo that gives you lots of dimension quick and easy and it dries CLEAR!  When I am finished I just set aside to dry.

This is the side view right after I applied it. You can get more info here.

Enjoy you week and thanks again for stopping by. Hugs, Kathy

Your design is amazingly creative, I wish I was able to use my stamps to the full potential the way you do! I will have to check out that glue product – I’m obsessed with good adhesives!! lol I think the stuff I use is similar though, it’s called Glue Gel by Pinflair, can ve used and flat or 3D, has NO SMELL and you can keep it in syringe which I love for application purposes!!
