August 2, 2010 •

cha was so exciting to see

the “behind the scenes” when everyone was still setting up and prepping their booths. Down the isles there were gigantic wood crates about 10′ x 5′ everywhere. Everyone was scurrying around trying to finish the set up and the air was filled with the smell of diesel fuel. Men in uniforms were going up and down the isles with hand carts delivering boxes and the chatter of reunions was everywhere.

When my cab pulled around the corner and I saw this big sign I was pinching myself …could it be true that I was at CHA?

I took this at the registration booth. I was nervous and excited to meet everyone for the first time.

The first day before the show opened on Tuesday there was a huge crowd waiting outside. It’s hard to see them here and you can see the “band” of bagpipers playing. That was so cool and almost moving and it got you super excited!  I loved their music and wish CHA had it every morning.

I wanted to get a video of them playing but, was to nervous with everything else so maybe next time.

This was Penny Black’s “booth” this is the back board  and there were tables set up to write orders and for the make-and-takes. The ladies at Penny Black were so welcoming, wonderful and warm. I felt like I was coming home.

This is the corner of SRM’s booth. Here are more photos of the SRM booth on their blog today. You can even catch a glimpse of some stamping celebs like Jenyfur.  I was on could nine after meeting everyone at Penny Black and drifted over to SRM and just stayed on my cloud. Everyone at SRM was just the same…warm, wonderful and welcoming. Susan (the V.P. is so enthusiastic it’s contagious) I can tell you I am one lucky and grateful girl.
If you are wondering when I did get a chance to walk around a bit ….what’s on my list?
Everything Penny Black, SRM’s new release and I love their new white stickers.
The new Spellbinders jumbo large dies, marvy new punching system and some of Tim Holtz’s new dies. I might as well show ya the new white stickers right now. I just finished a card with a Penny Black flower stamp and SRM’s new release white stickers.

I used only ONE stamp for both cards incorporating the stamp three different ways. As a background, a main image and as a colored panel. Check out the white SRM sticker and the large “smile” is new too. I hope it’s ok to post these…yikes
Have a great day more tomorrow. Hugs,Kathy
