I have three things to share with you

The first is Tiffany Doodles Monthly Theme Challenge. The Challenge is to create a card with “Birds and Windows” and for the prize…there will be four winners so you really can’t beat it. Check out the blog for all the details and the amazing creations from the other talented DT members.
This card is my take on the challenge.

I printed the bird on white card stock and colored with several copic colors just adding layer after layer of color. I traced the image and eyes with a fine tip black sharpie and added glossy accents to beak and eyes. For the nest I cut some twill and dyed with the copic refill by dripping the color on the twill. Once dry I glued on the window sill with glossy accents. Love using GA as glue.

I wish you could see the window in person and it’s dimension. I printed the window two times and cut with a blade and a straight edge into sections (window frame, 9 pieces of “glass” from the white trim.) Then I proceeded to color the wood frame, highlight the molding with grey (at this point it resembles an open grid) .For the background I stamped the clouds on white card stock and placed a piece of acetate on top then glued down the molding on top of the clouds and acetate. Add pop dots to back of the wood frame and placed on top of the window. Note… I wanted the window appear open so that excess will need to be trimmed. Once my background on the card base was stamped . Then I added more pop dots to the back of the finished window and placed on the card. Next up is the bird and I decided to cut the tail because it was to long  for my window.  For added dimension cut some extra feathers.

Other Supplies:
Copic colors B23,32B, B45 (blues) E31, E35 (browns) YR09 (oragne), W5, C2 (grey)
Stamps: HA: CG123 Flower Wallpaper, S5215 Clouds
Inks: Memento Summer Sky, Hero Hues Poppy Chalk Ink

Now for the second thing I wanted to share with youis my project with SRM stickers. What I want to do is demonstrate is three different ways you can use SRM stickers. So each card is using the SAME sticker but, in a different way. So let’s get started 🙂

This is the quick card sheet of stickers that I used in ALL  of these cards below. Three sheets made NINE cards.

You can purchase them right here. (Quick Cards-Hello #52006)

The first way is to use the same sticker is to apply it on an acrylic tag. ( sorry about the photo) I just applied on top of the acrylic tag and added some black gems. The window was created with my nesties.

The second way you can use there stickers is right on top of a button for a different application.

The third way is to apply the sticker directly on top of your ribbon for something different.
I hope you have found some new ways to use your stickers and SRM will be featuring different ways all week so don’t forget to check out SRM’s BLOG  for all the talented DT’s inspiration for you.

If you notice I have some left over stickers from my “Quick Card” sticker sheet so I whipped up some cards so share with you. Starting with the birds. For one tag  I applied the sticker on the back of the acrylic, one of top of the acrylic and the last one I added glossy accents on the sticker. All are backed with green scrap paper.

Three Hello’s left so here ya go 🙂

The lined paper is from a some 4×6 note cards that were laying on my desk. The butterfly is from Hero Arts.

The third thing is…. I wanted to remind you …tonight I will be drawing the winner for my blog candy. So there still is time of you haven’t checked it out.  Details here.
In addition to the blog candy I will  also be randomly drawing three names from the comments area on the blog candy post for three additional clear sets from HA. Good Luck ! See you tomorrow

    Hello Kathy,

Wow, that window card is soooo amazing, what a fabulous idea to put that bird in the window like this! I love it, looks really amazing and it looks ‘real’ as well, like you could just open and close that window. Lovely card!
Beautiful examples you made here as well! That buttefly stamp you have that I’ve seen on a few of your cards is sooo lovely! And you color it so wonderful brigh that it just splashes of the card!! Also with the card of the candy! Soo wonderful and bright! I’d just love to win the candy to receive that card, hi hi!!! Hope you’re having a nice day! Is it sunny with you? It’s a lovely day here in the Netherlands today. I’m looking at a bright blue sky, with some cute white clouds in it, a gentle breeze, perfect! Enjoy your day!

    Hugs, Wendy
