Happy Birthday Rachel …this is for YOU!!

Today is my step mother’s Birthday and she’s 70 Years old. Rachel is an amazing woman and I couldn’t ask for a better step mom! She’s is beautiful inside and out so I had to create a special card for her.

To change the cupcake (there is hearts on it) I traced the outside of the cupcake and then stamped the flowers on top. I was looking for one of the creations that you see on the fancy cupcakes and cake shows. The butterfly is in the background of a stamp so I stamped it many times, colored them with Copic markers and applied Gloss Accents. I cut some of the wing to paste on the inside so when I bent them sideways you would see the top layer instead of the underside. I hope I’m making sense??

Here is an adorable picture of Rachel and my dad. Happy BIRTHDAY RACHEL. I love you!

SUPPLIES:
CG157 Large Cupcake
CG124 Floating Flowers (stamped in Hero Hues Lavender Dye Ink)
CG119 Flourish Background Stamp (Ranger distress in “Storm” on this background)
CL158 Cupcakes (used the sentiment) (Clear Design stamps)
LP141 Together (small butterfly is from this woodblock set of 4 stamps)

K5358 Floral Scallop (on top of cupcake)

    Dear, dear Kathy,

How do I thank you for the wonderful things you do! This is just a gorgeous card, and I am so touched that you took the time to leave such a special message on your blog. One of the best parts of marrying your dad was getting beautiful stepdaughters. You make my life special in all that you do. Love you much! Rachel
