Printing Digi Images so they won’t smear

The challenge this week is to make a card with a scene and the prize is a
Squiggefly image. Here is Squigglefly’s BLOG” with all the details and here is  Squigglefly’s Digi image “Flower Set” that I used to create my scene. In the spring and summer I love to watch the butteries buzz around the  flowers and I think we are all anxious for warm weather.

The critters are from Hero Arts #CL261

I tried something new when I printed this digi image. Usually I am very careful when coloring around the lines so the ink won’t smear.  This time I prepared my area with my clear embossing powder

before printing. Immediatley after printing the image I quickly poured on the clear emossing power ON the image to emboss it. After heat setting embossing powder I could color with abondon! I was thrilled how well this worked so I encourage you to give it a try.

Now to announce the winner of my last little giveaway is

CIMG2520

I’ll send you an email.
Have a great week! Hugs,Kathy

great tip Kathy… I sometimes even put my ink setting to high so the ink is heavier ( obviously uses more which is the downside) and it embosses better.
Love the card – so bright and springy!!!
