Squigglefly’s Challenge and a Two Peas DigiKit

Sweet Olga

CIMG2125

This babushka doll is one of two and it’s only $2.5. I thought this image was perfect for SquiggleFly’s Challenge #35 .The challenge is to make a shaped card for Valentine’s Day using  non-traditional colors. Squigglefly now has a new twist on the prizes either a fun goodie bag or a free digital image. ( A Squigglefly image does have to be used to be eligible for a prize. ) This beautiful drawing is one of Jane Beljo’s. For the card I pieced the paper with this great DigiKit called Can’t Buy Me Love by Shimelle Laine. I colored on top of the red pieces of the paper to add some depth and added Glossy Accents to the flower in her hair. I just love the richness of this paper. I’ll be back tomorrow with more snow photos. Today we had a blizzard and high winds with MORE SNOW!!!!!! I hope you all are having better weather and thanks for  your heart warming comments. Hugs,Kathy

I love the bold colours you have chosen for this project, I was wondering how you got them so nice and bright, then I realise you paper pieced it. Fabulous.

If I comment on how adorable your card is, does it make up for omitting you from Jen’s CT list. Ha Ha. Sorry girl!

I wonder why you call our “Matryoshka” (in Russian “матрёшка”) – babushka doll, that is “grandmother’s doll”?)

By the way, some of your cards make me smile – they are SO cute!!!!!
