Squigglefly’s Challenge #31

 CIMG1963

CIMG1968

This project is for Squigglefly’s first challenge this year and my first project with them as a design team member. The challenge is to create anything except for a card. You can start uploading your anything but a card onto Squigglefly’s Blog. I wanted a new look for my 2010 calendar along with a daily reminder to keep my New Years goals in check. Inside my calendar you will find two pockets with a tags to record my daily exercise and daily inspiration with tips that I need to be reminded of every day. To design your calendar, eating journal, notebook cover or whatever you desire keep in mind to trace the front “cover” before you start layering your papers. If you don’t have a calendar I recommend a composition book. I love how the corners are rounded, it’s bound (not spiral) and it is a  pretty compact notebook measuring in at 9.5×11 therefore, you should find it easy to cover. Once you select your desired paper and trace the item you will be changing it’s time to gather what you will be sewing or gluing to decorate your new cover, gather your images etc. Once you have all your together it’s time to have some fun and design your layout. I decided not to glue my cover onto my calendar instead it just rests inside my cover and for now that is working. I just love this Hippo by Jane Beljo  called “Big Boned”  and the slice of cake was just what I was looking for called “Piece of Cake” is by Angie Davis. Both images are available Here. The idea of the images is that the hippo will only get larger if he can’t resist the temptation of the yummy cake. I love the papers in this project  and believe it or not they are  from a DigiKit  available Two Peas in a Bucket by Betsy Tuma called “Flower Frenzy The Papers”. Have fun creating and thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs,Kathy
