mini blog hop with friends – giveaway too

Hello my friends, How was your weekend? If you are new to my blog a warm welcome to you. Today is a really fun day because Kristina Werner, Jennife McGuire r, Jana Millen and I are inking up the same stamp. If you are wondering how this happened ….we were at a retreat together and chit chatting about having a mini blog hop & with that said Kristina began drawing with magic her magical hands … the rest is history. Heidi from Simon Says Stamp put the newly created stamp into production. With great pleasure I introduce you to
“Furry Christmas” ! This was inspired by Kristina’s cat, Mannie, Jennifer’s dog, Roxy and my dog, Max!! THANK YOU Kristina for designing such a fun stamp!
I love this stamp so much that
I purchased “Furry Christmas to GIVEAWAY 🙂
Just join my following or subscribe to my blog and or follow my pins then leave a comment.
A random winner will be selected next week.
Before you hop to the other blogs I have a mini tutorial on how I altered this house on my card and a quick color application too. If you aren’t interested hope on over to Kristina’s, Jennifer’s and Jana’s blog then. 🙂 Before you do that … a few details… I added a series of lines to the scarf with this ultra thin Copic marker. Enamel Accents were added to the animals eyes so they pop and Glossy Accents to the noses. This awesome die cut made it super easy to create a fun and unique background. This gave my background some texture and subtle shine.
I like to add B0000 and B02 to outline the edges of my snow. Just cut some wavy lines from scrap paper, outline the edges and stager on the base of your card. Trim to fit your card.
I just had to ink up this house for my background but, I altered the house for some fun. Super easy …all you do is trace the lines of your stamp with a  Memento marker. Do not trace the bottom of the house as you see below.
Proceed to stamp on some white card stock. This marker I use every day to trace around THE EDGES of my stamped images after cutting. (I used to get smudges when I used a black Copic marker but, rarely do any more thanks to the Memento marker.)
Use a ruler to extend the lines of the house and cut out.
Use a Copic marker ( I used C4) and scribble the color on making lines and NOT blending or completely coloring. Fast, easy and effective.
Do the same thing with E31.
Once you add the windows, apply Glossy Accents I think you will see how the colored lines add texture to the house. Kristina designed this stamp set too and it’s so versatile. Thank you for your visit  I am grateful ! Don’t forget to visit my sweet and talented friends blogs.  Jennifer, Kristina and Jana you will be so happy that you did. Have a happy day, Kathy

P.S. Here is a snap of our big baby. I hope to share more studio photos soon. Scroll down for supplies. Thank YOU for taking the time to visit my blog 🙂 sorry for the lengthy post.
P.S. S. Scroll down for a BasicGrey giveaway & some washi tape.
