Hero Arts Summer 2016 Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! How are you? I am popping in today to share Hero Arts Summer 2016 release with sooo many fun stamp sets and die cuts! All of the Hero Arts products are available in their store HERE today! Yay!

IMG_2877

My first card I expanded the fun sand castle from the adorable set called “Beach“. I dampened a textured rag with some blending solution to get lots of texture PLUS added lots of dots with my Copic markers.

IMG_2878

To create this beautiful frame I used this die cut and backed my white card stock with some black fun foam for some nice dimension. Super easy… just glue your layers with some glossy accents.

IMG_2867

To get a stand alone sand castle I stamped it twice, masked it off with some masking paper and then stamped the castle a third time. I just used a post it note to mask off the bottom portion of the castle for the middle of my castle. (sorry I forgot to photograph this)

IMG_2879

For my second card I just had to use the paper umbrella from the new “Let’s Get Fresh” stamp set. I have always been a fan paper umbrellas. The paper umbrella would make a great beach umbrella on a card!  To finish off my watercoloring I added some heavy weight vellum and the sentiment from Hero’s “Prayers” set. (a must have)

IMG_2880

I also die cut the “prayers” in black foam for …. yup .. you guessed it … for more dimension lol.

I love, love, love all of your cards but then I always do. Your beach scene with the sand crab is genius! I love it! I have a sand crab punch but that stamp is cool too. It reminds me of Sponge Bob Square Pants. I also love the paper party umbrellas. They are so cute! I want one to shade me on the beach and even though I am child sized, I’d need a big one. Great cards and great stamps! I want one of each!
