Waffle Flower Video and hop!

waffle-flower-coloring-fun-blog-hop-badge

Hello Friends, Welcome to the  Waffle Flower Coloring Fun Blog Hop! I have been so excited about this super fun blog hop!! To start at the beginning click here. Today I have two cards for you and a video! You know I love to color so I have a waterCOLORED card and a copic colored card (w/video).
IMG_6696

The Waffle Flower stamps sets are super fun to ink up and create adorable little scenes with. For this card I combined “Willy & Friends” and “Tiger & Lily” stamps sets. I used some white spray to get that “salty water ocean spray”  look on my watercolored background and waves.

IMG_6702 (1)

A bright white watercolor paper is always my preference and I used some distress ink to watercolor everything. A  stitched circle was popped to create some dimension and a window. Glossy accents were added to the edge of the bandanna and that sharp knife!

IMG_6693

Using this small ink I was able to control where to place the ink. I left a spot off so that I could turn the oval into a talk bubble. In the un-inked open area just add a “v” and you have a talk bubble. ( I prefer not to ink the entire stamp and wipe some off because I always end up with a shadow so to avoid this I like to ink up part of the stamp.)

Time only permitted for an “un-edited” video so if you are NOT keen to them please don’t watch. Last time I got a lot of thumbs down and that’s so discouraging. 🙁 BUT I know so many of you like them so I try to give you all a happy medium 🙂

To watch the video in HD click here.

Creating a mini card with a stitched square is quicker and oh so fun. I drew on some thin little eyelashes with a super fine tip marker.

Lots of glossy accents some of the various ink solution …love how it adds so much texture to the images.

Great card Kathy! I liked the unedited version because it shows the process of thinking it through. Sometimes when I recreate a card from an edited video, my process takes so long and I just wonder what is wrong with me and why is it not running so smoothly? LOL. Don’t sweat the negative comments. People just get in a hurry and you warned them that it was unedited. They forget that they have a choice and can turn it off. Keep creating and sharing!

Guess what, if people don’t like unedited videos then don’t watch and SHUT UP! Forget the unkind remarks. The fact that you’re willing to share your talent and knowledge, is a gift. Those people are ungrateful s&$ts! Please don’t change how you do these. That’s part of their charm and, since it’s a tutorial, the learning experience. Enough of my rant, These cards are so fun and beautifully colored.

I notice you often say “I always…” when talking about techniques or color combos. I apparently need to color a whole lot more cause I haven’t done enough to figure out what I “always” do 🙂 Envious of the time you have spent just playing.

Hey there, Kathy! I’m giving you a thousand thumbs up for not only this video but ALL your videos. It’s so much fun watching you color and seeing/hearing your thought process that brings your cards to life! Please don’t let a few thumbs down discourage you. YOU ROCK, my friend, and I had to come by and tell you that! Love ya! XOXO

The UNedited videos are so helpful…gives the benefit of understanding your thought process, how to embrace “mistakes” as happy accidents and so on. And besides, I’d much prefer an unedited video to none at all. Thanks to you, I’ve begun looking at my stamps and supplies in a whole new light. I enjoy the relaxation of playing with them and the surprise of finding out what can happen, rather than just focusing on finishing a card. Huge thanks!

I don’t see why anyone would give you a thumbs down just because you didn’t edit the video. You seem like a most wonderful lady and you have a calming, soft voice. The unedited video also let’s us get to know you a little more personally because yout are completely real and sharing a ltitle part ofor your life with us. Don’t you worry about those negative people, they aren’t worth the time it took them to click that thumbs down button.

My daughter and I loved your video…don’t know why you’d edit this even if you had time!! We love your videos–techniques, great ideas, bright color, and you always seem so…nice! We’re moving backwards through your videos and learning a ton!
